Lets be honest
Why can't you tell people what you think? Would it really be that bad if you make a suggestion to someone else about something they should change? What we would think if someone suggested to us about something we should do differently; however personal it may be. For my teaching class, I interviewed a teacher towards the end of her career. She kept talking about how kids use to be so much more well behaved and how they use to enjoy being productive. But then later she was talking about how much she's changed her teaching; like how she tries to be more professional, less their friend, and watches them more than exemplifies for them. I saw a huge correlation between those two things in kind of the opposite direction as she did. I wanted to mention to her "maybe they don't get excited about school as much because they don't see you excited about their assignments. Maybe you wouldn't have to watch and yell at them while they're watching their instructional video if you showed them how to do it yourself with enthusiasm rather than sit them in front of a 20 year old video." I wish I could just be more like a little kid and say what I think. I think the world would be better. I think the biggest problem with giving suggestions like that is that people aren't use to hearing them. But if we all did it then people may not be shocked that someone said that to them and just take the advice with a grain of salt. Lets be honest.
